It would be more effective for her to just be a serial repeat super gluing hands to main entryway to prevent people from going into the museum, and then doing that enough without damaging any artwork, but showing us her resolve by being willing to spend increasingly long periods of time in prison.

   That would be a more effective way of communicating how important she feels it is for society to take action on climate.

5. That’s awful. If anything, important art works and other cultural touchstones should be preserved.

6. No glass to protect the Monet. Let’s hope it is a replica. I am all for bringing attention to global warming. BUT, not at the expense of our cultural treasures. Wright message, wrong tactics. I wouldn’t donate or participate in this type of vicious and juvenile movement.

7. It’s not clear if the sticker actually damaged the painting, but in any case, this is not helping. All she’s done is create headlines for a single day and *potentially* harmed an important artifact in the process.

   You’d likely accomplish more by setting up outside the museum with a copy of Monet’s painting side by side with the sticker image and protesting for a full day.

8. An example of a fool or a coward wanting to make a statement. There are hundreds of legitimate, corporate targets to choose from, and they attack a priceless piece of art instead. Utter stupidity that turns ordinary people away from the cause.

9. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to deface oil executives? I mean cut off their ear or something?

10. After multiple attempts at destroying art and culture, will these people finally be labeled terrorists or whatever buzzword is used today?
