  1. The function of populism is to provide an outlet for frustration and to occasionally shake things up. It is not intended to be responsible, to make plans and implement them and to help a people move forward.

  2. Far right being far right. Very fast finding the ‘cause’ of any trouble, absolutely unable to fix anything.

Or, in other words, easy solutions for complex problems don’t usually work.

  3. Meloni was pressed by european banks to keep the gates open, and she complied.

  4. Who would be a good option for Italy in these elections?

  5. So, a populist got voted into office and ended up disappointing because all the words were just empty promises and catchphrases? No way!

  6. Populism is great because you can tell people they can have their cake and eat it too.

The only problem is when they actually have power they realise that you cannot do it.

  7. Populists will always tell you what you want to hear, and then they do jack shit at best or destroy the economy.

  8. You’d think after the failure that was Lega Italy would have learned their lesson?
