I’m certainly in favour of this. Football used to be for the masses and it’s now far too expensive. My club does it’s best to be fair.
iirc we already have at least 10 Championship games a year on the BBC, but this is a positive first step. 10 games out of 456 for the Premiership is not a massive ask, and I would expect that free-to-air broadcasters would aim for getting as wide a variety of teams as possible rather than going for the biggest ticket games, but I think in general we should be a bit more radical when it comes to so-called “listed events”. Our current list was devised in 1997 and it’s been pretty much unchanged since then.
Politicians are vile. “Cmon Andy” ! while they enrich themselves.
Rightly so. Championship games on the BBC have been class, particularly the Rovers games.
Why not rugby too
Could just ask Matheson where he streams the games… 🙄
They don’t have any say on TV rights. This has the same significance as any poster on here promising the same thing
Why don’t they give us ipads and a 12k Google play voucher
