  1. Why does either of them have to be a big topic?

  2. I’ve always disliked this comparison. Violent movies don’t cause violence. Sexual scenes can cause sexual stimulation. Obviously, artists should be free to make the movies they want and the over policing of it is an issue. Customers should have options to consume quality content that they are comfortable with. And women should not be such a disproportionate target of sexual objectification but should still be sexually liberated enough to make choices about what they want to do.

But, like just talk about those things instead of this lame, overused comparison. It’s lazy and is comparing things that don’t even have the same impact on a person. It doesn’t help the sex scenes in movies either, it just leads to pearl clutching about violence in movies.

  3. It’s not quite as awkward when your mom comes into the room during a violence scene.
