Dortmund’s finishing was bad but Terzic set them up superbly. Adeyemi made some very clever runs, their midfielders were tidy, and their defense held up really well for 2/3 of the game. No point in disrespecting Dortmund also, their fans, players, staff, and coach, for the most part, have been nothing but absolute class. Let’s enjoy our victory.

Dortmund gave it their all in the first half and the first 10 minutes of the second half. Slowly they ran out of gas and Madrid started overtaking them from Vini’s side. As Dortmund gassed out, Madrid began benefiting from our combination of youth and Champions League mentality (Toni never panicked, Carvajal was everywhere, Camavinga had a great game, Fede was pure willpower fueled by his third lung and Rodrygo was way better than he has on the first half). It may seem lucky to some, but there were plans within plans within plans displayed and they paid handsomely.
Talk about respect. It was super weird to see so many Madrid „fans“ to mock on dortmund fans after the stadium. Never seen such a behavior, when there’s no bad history.
