As of the end of May, 🇷🇺 occupies a total of 17.57% (+0.03%) of Ukraine, including Crimea and areas of Donetsk and Luhansk occupied before 2022. This represents a net gain by 🇷🇺 approximately 201km², the largest change in control for almost a year.

  1. And it only cost them another quarter of a million men? Winning lmao

  2. The sub has really worked its way into an unhealthy frenzy. Positive news for Russia is called propaganda and lies. Negative news for Ukraine is downplayed and also called propaganda. You might think the war isn’t over because the Ukrainians have so much fun killing Russians and burning tanks.

  3. At this stage of the war territorial gains for Russia aren’t the important focus. The strategic focus of Russia is to attrite Ukrainian forces and to prepare their summer offensive in which they MIGHT win more km².

Other than Ukraine, Russia hasn’t got a real manpower problem; at least not in the near future or 1 year into the future. Ukraine was too late in changing its conscription laws and will struggle throughout the summer.

Western provided weapons run into problems. GPS gets spoofed (Excalibur rounds are only at 9% accuracy at the moment… coming from 70+). Russia is adapting and creating dilemmas for Ukraine. The Kharkiv “offensive” is an example for this.

In short: Russia has the momentum for now and will have it throughout the summer (If this isn’t the case I pop my champagne bottles). Western support has to ramp. up and there should never be a shortage of 155mm ammunition and systems to deliver them to the Russians ever again.

  4. 0.03%. Big win! If they continue like this, it will only take them 2747 years to conquer all of Ukraine!

  5. So the comments are not going the way you wanted, OP?
