Projects like these constantly pop up and then run into trouble once they see how annoying UK planning permission and NIMBYism is.
What happened to the Paramount mega theme park and resort in Kent that has been about 15 years in development? I think they never even broke soil but spent a decade plus faffing about trying to navigate the red tape.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Someone has been building a huge theme park for decades now and it always comes down to sticking it on the continent as easier for more to get to (especially now) and it doesn’t piss down every day.
I wonder if they’ll have any more success than the [proposed London Resort](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Resort) that never emerged.
The Great Wolf resort bought land to build a resort outside of Bicester.
Spent a fortune clearing the ground etc & then found out they could run the utilities to it as they were under the M40.
From the outset, there were protests, which to be fair were justified as the roads together there aren’t suitable for heavy traffic.
