  1. What the ffffff, I hope you’re not posting this from McDonald’s 🤦🏻

  2. I still have my loan from twenty years ago and have bearly earned enough to pay it back.

Fun fact, even if you go through bankruptcy it doesn’t go away… So thats fun.

  3. Mines £44,000. 6.25% interest. Never getting it down, so I’ll likely be missing 30-40 quid from my paycheck for 30 years.

Hopefully labour abolish it or help in someway, disgusting that they have higher interest than mortgages.

  4. It’s outrageous that they’re charging money for degrees like this, if you’re a high earner, you pay more tax(way more than student fees cost), going to college makes you more likely to be a high earner, the UK is basically not only taxing you twice this way, but punishing you if you don’t become a highly paid exec.

This is a mad system really, we’re spiralling into an American system.

  5. Out of interest what degree did you do and have you got a job now that means you’re paying it back?

I had around £15k of student loans debt but thankfully got it paid off by time I was 30. I can’t believe it costs that much these days for a course. Ridiculous

  6. Iirc it’s written off after 25 years, don’t sweat it

  7. I went to the OU when I was 25 and the UU for my masters. Graduated 3 years ago and my balance is 7k. Uni fees are madness.

  8. finally paid mine off last year at the age of 39. Nice to get an extra 100 quid a month afterwards
