  1. going to add this to my list I’m going to visit next.

  2. Which park is this at? It looks really, really nice but I don’t recognize it, and it’s clearly neither Cișmigiu, Herăstrău, or Carol. The number of amazing parks was probably the biggest thing that surprised us about Bucharest. Just lovely parks left, right, and center!

  3. I live 5 walking minutes from this park and I can’t express how lucky I feel to be able to go there pretty much whenever I want to. The festival was lovely, although a bit crowded at certain times.

There were also tons of shops selling potted plants, jewelry, honey and other flower-related items, as well as food trucks. Looking forward for next year. 🙂

  4. This is Parcul “Drumul Taberei” (word for word Park “Road to the camp”). The camp was the main base/camp during 1821 revolution against Ottoman Empire. The communists constructed here one if not the biggest standard communist neighborhood in Bucharest (and therefore Romania). This park is in the middle of the neighborhood and it’s considered on of the main parks in Bucharest and the most expensive one. Right now there is “West Side Flower Fest” that’s why there are so many flowers. Today (2nd of June) is the last day.

For a turist this Park is worth a visit especially during evenings when park lights seen from the main bridge look marvelous (even if the flowers would be gone) but the downside it is that ,as i said, this park is the middle of a communist neighboorhood where there is not much to visit for a tourist. But this Park is right near a metro station so if one has several hours (2-3) to visit it it may be worth it.
