  1. Editor’s Note: Adam Kinzinger is a CNN senior political commentator and a former Republican congressman from Illinois. He served 10 years on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Kinzinger is also a lieutenant colonel and pilot in the Air National Guard. Ben Hodges is a former commanding general of US Army Europe. He served for 38 years in the US Army. The views expressed in this commentary are their own.

    >There seems to be a doctrine within the National Security Council in the Biden administration: escalation aversion. These “escalationists” seem deeply worried that any increase in support for Ukraine could lead to World War III.

    >France and Germany on Tuesday took the important step of joining the UK and other countries in saying the weapons they supply Ukraine could be used in strikes on Russian soil. Predictably, Russian President Vladmir Putin responded that these moves could lead to “serious consequences,” particularly for “small and densely populated countries.” This threat has been made by Putin again and again, often referencing Russia’s nuclear weapons, as the West has upped it’s support for Ukraine. The US needs to stop taking it seriously.

    >Let’s revisit some history from the last couple of years.

  2. Fear is great asset to behold when the tiger attacked us on the plains, and a great asset when it makes us jump back on the pavement when a vehicle use it’s horn to warn us. But it’s a damn irrational asset for making logic decisions, because it overrides the frontal lopes and thereby our rationality.

Kinzinger and Hodges shows the fear was not logic – but fear. That escalation fear was feelings not logic. True experts have been saying this all the time, but krimlin succeeded in feeding information to our administrations all over the world, that there was a true danger. And they succeeded because those under the table informations was viewed in an old understanding of Russia, the situation, and just pure fear.

Fear is dangerous lets stop listening to it, and lets use reason here. Hodges have several times explained why it made no sense for Russia to use nuclear weapons. There is no positive outcome for them. Its That simple.

  3. Other than all the Russians that have fallen out of windows, what threats has Putin actually followed through on?

  4. Both of these gentlemen have my utmost respect. Listen to them !

  5. Best ruzian trick – to make world believe that escalation is bad. No no, just think about it, people really believe that fighting back criminals, who want you dead, is a bad thing… mind blowing.
