  1. One of the problems in Kharkiv seems to have been the gray area, land held by Ukraine but so close to Russia that building defense lines was difficult because of enemy artillery and drones. In normal warfare that might not be a huge problem, you would just build fortifications further back, but the Russian strategy is to level everything they can reach with artillery so it’s painful to retreat, even when it makes sense otherwise.

  2. News at ten, reporter accidentally fell from 4th story hospital window and dies after admiring view of glorious neighbouring burning shit heap.

  3. Ammo goes to Ukraine. Ukraine manages to defend its land better.

    No explaining that.

  4. If Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the region is successful I wonder if Russia will even bother with pushing into Sumy.

  5. I read somewhere Russia only had 30-40k men to throw at that invasion. And the “Burn rate” excuse my terminology was over 1000/day 1000-1400ish so that little fantasy ended in less than 30days.

  6. Good, now let’s focus on driving back the Russians at Chasiv Yar.
