tonight the Prime Minister has finally announced the next general election a moment the country needs and has been waiting for and where by the force of our democracy power returns to you a chance to change for the better your future your community your country now it will feel like a long campaign I’m sure of that but no matter what else is said and done that opportunity for change is what this election is about over the course of the last four years we’ve changed the labor party returned it once more to the service of working people all we ask now humbly is to do exactly the same for our country and return Britain to the service of working people because we will stop the chaos look around our country for sewage in our Rivers people waiting on trolleys in A&E crime virtually unpunished mortgages and food prices through the roof it’s all every bit of it a direct result of the Tory chaos in Westminster time and again again they pursue their own interests rather than tackling the issues that affect your family and if they get another 5 years they will feel entitled to carry on exactly as they are so here it is the future of the country in your hands on the 4th of July you have the choice and together we can stop the chaos we can turn the page we can start to re Bill Britain and change our country thank you [Applause]

Keir Starmer welcomed the prime minister’s announcement that UK general elections will be held on the 4 July, at a press conference on Wednesday. Starmer told reporters: ‘A vote for Labour is a vote for stability, economic and political, a politics that treads more lightly on all our lives. A vote to stop the chaos’

  1. These two are some of the sharpest squares in the box. The annoying thing is I think we can all think of someone more capable than these two even if it is an old boss or teacher 😂

  2. Do not trust this man. He is another side of the same coin, another corporate stooge who knows how to appeal to the votership through feigned sentimentality. Dualistic tribalism will never deliver. The choice between Pepsi or Coke is not freedom of choice. Unwavering civil disobedience and friendship across the lines that divide us are the only chances we have for change.

  3. I think Keir Starmer is bricking it now that he has one foot in the door of No 10. If Labour win, I think he will be replaced as leader.
He and Sunak are WETS, don't inspire anyone!

  4. They dont care who wins they both get in the house lining their own pockets they come together in the Commons bar laughing at us. This is why both parties tell lies and break promise they are guaranteed in the house albeit the side of the house differs and who as their hands on the money box. Because the British dont have the courage to vote for a third party we are what is called SEESAW voters Labour Tories Labour Tories Labour then we moan.

  5. How can he fixed GP & hospital waiting time ?? When hospital have a short staff?? How can fixed GP appointment fast when GP working part time in surgery ?? All he’s plan just for mor vote , look London how is mass ??? All counsellor around the UK is non-English person?

  6. I know most are saying they don’t trust Starmer more than they trust Sunak but give the man a chance to undo the damage the Torries have caused the past 14 years, if you want to continue to vote for the conservatives again and again that’s fine but you need to realise how much they’ve ruined the country already. So I’m willing to give Labour a chance to change the state of the mess we are in and reform the NHS, tackle the cost of living crisis, and help lower energy prices, and much more. And if you don’t like Starmer then in time there will be another Labour leader. But all I’ve seen of 14 years of the Torries is lies and false promises, they didn’t even delivery on Brexit everything that the public was promised including tackling immigration, which as we see the floodgates are still wide open to illegal immigrants coming in.

  7. He’s really rocking that Max Headroom look, pity he doesn’t have Max’s charisma. He has got to be the least inspirational prime minister ever.

  8. Why I will no longer vote labour Starmer
They defended Israel as it starved the population of Gaza
They refused to back calls for a ceasefire knowing that a genocide is being carried out.
He is sponsored (bribed)by Aipac and therefore does not represent the Uk
He is beyond untrustworthy and so two faced.
It’s time for Britain to get a government for the people, elected by the people.

  9. Sure Labour will likely win but Keir Starmer is so milquetoast for a PM that I just feel like why? If it wasn't for FPTP, the Greens would have my highest vote, not Tory-lite Labour or Blairite/New Labour

  10. Labour had two administration's that led to positive social change in Britain. They brought hope. It's easy to be cynical. Let's be hopeful. Sir Keir, you may be boring but some of the greatest leaders have been boring but great – take a bow Clement Atlee. Don't let us down Sir Keir.

  11. The media is dominated by the establishment. To retain power they want to make you feel you have a choice, just like they always have. So Backtracker Starmer is their latest stooge.

I have a feeling the country will sink so low and in such a short space of time that, with the aid of social media, this may be the last time the establishment get away with it.
