Les chiffres sont tellement bas que je me demande pourquoi on en parle autant ? L’an dernier il y a eu 90 “feminicides”, soit 0.000003% des femmes. Heureusement qu’on a inventé un nouveau mot pour désigner ce phénomène ultra rare.
Une femme vient d’être condamnée pour avoir flingué son mari violent qui la menaçait. Il n’y a aucun progrès.
Problem comes from police forces who won’t do their job properly, it’s not only with this kind of crimes but a more global decay of police forces incorruptibility that lead to instances where the victims are blamed and nothing is being take seriously.
While this type of behavior from police forces is declared illegal by laws in France, and they shall never refuse to take a witness’ declaration, they sometimes do. They won’t take the declaration and shove the victime out the station with no help or any respect of their prime rights.
Whistle blowers are being taken down, politics act like they help but infact never try to (to begin with), actors are actresses speak up but their voice may be heard, no one listen because “they are important but only because they are famous” and it’s not enough as of today.
Most people say it needs proofs, and that’s true !
You need to be able to proof there is violence, and in addition to that, some people tend to say you need to act as soon as violence begins (*while that’s not true you actually have like 20ish years after events to act in justice against the perpetrator*) so in short, you did this to yourself.
Which can be regarded as a failure.
Failure towards yourself, your body, and that you might not want to get out of the situation because you “stayed”, even when no one offered to help you, or your shame pushed you to avoid talking about the violences.
But when even police forces refuse to offer help, who do you think you could go to to ask for help ?
In France you can write directly to heads of Police, regionnaly we have a Prefet who can recieve declarations. But most French won’t know that.
All I say is every violence scenario must be taken seriously and everytime someone is violent towards a companion they should be locked up for a time and have to go live in another part of France.
We have a big Country side, why not send these people to work in farms instead. that’s another subject I like to talk about that’s why I say that, but that’s no solution to our Police Problem…
