2. Climate goals? Nein danke.

   For scale, even with a phase out plan, the last German nuclear power plant was supposed to shut down in [2036](https://static.dw.com/image/6469882_7.webp), instead they met this goal in [2023](https://www.base.bund.de/EN/ns/nuclear-phase-out/nuclear-phase-out_node.html). Who needs 13 years worth of extra low carbon electricity?

   Looks like some goals are worth bringing forward more than others.

3. They shut down all their nuclear plants and reopened Coal plants, because they thought it was dangerous as Fukushima, but Germanys tectonic plates are nowhere near as active as the Pacific Rim
