Russia knows Putin’s Crimea bridge is ‘doomed,’ Ukrainian official says

1. Now the bridge isn’t used anymore, the ferries are out too. The leaves Russian the logistics system extremely vulnerable for drones, jdam, himars and whatever is needed to break it.

2. Putin can’t lose Crimea, it would make him look like an absolute fool to his supporters. This is when things will start to become very interesting, how will he choose to escalate ?

3. The bridge is a bargaining chip.

   Ukraine can offer status quo for Crimea in exchange for return of occupied territories in the East (or at least lease extension as previously negotiated).

   If the bridge is destroyed, Russia must keep eastern territories for communication with Crimea.

4. destroy the bridge now and destroy the other rail bridges to crimea too.

5. How they gonna destroy it? What weapons system?

6. Putin wishes he could trade the life of 500 Russians to save that bridge

7. Sure, they may know this now, but when it becomes reality, the average Russian is going to know it’s over for them and their leader. Tick tock.

8. It’s too valuable to leave it standing. It should have been one of the first targets struck as soon as the green light was given.
