Ukrainian troops evacuate elderly civilians from Kharkiv frontline near the Russian border

Ukrainian police in Kharkiv region released video on Friday said to show its officers evacuating an elderly civilian from Lyptsi near the Russian border.

In the video, several police officers first drag the man on a cart and then carry him over a heavily damaged road.

Reuters was not able to independently verify the location or the date when the video was filmed.

Russian forces are conducting an offensive north-east of the regional capital Kharkiv since the beginning of May 2024 with Ukraine effecting to evacuate civilians from hotspots along the border such as Lyptsi and Vovchansk.
