  1. I have to come clean here I‘m addicted to those Simons news so please give me more of them!!! Would absolutely love to see him here. And in all honesty it just make so much damn sense to loan him with a buy option. Profit for everyone, PSG is happy because they get the whole fee without having to share with PSV and we get to test him out + can test out the waters on Wirtz next year if Leverkusen is even willing to sell him to us and if he would like to join us or go abroad before we make a Simons transfer to us permanent.

  2. > 🔵🔴 Laporta: “Robert Lewandowski has rejected important financial proposals to stay at Barcelona”.

By important financial proposals I suppose he means he demanded Lewy take a paycut. How predictable…

Laporta is a complete shit, only a matter of time before we see the smear campaign

  3. I really really like Xavi Simons. He seems so driven and disciplined, and has only known football for most of his life. Very good with pressure and obviously incredibly talented.

  4. >• Would you be happy if Alphonso Davies extended his contract at Bayern?

    >Jamal Musiala: “Yes! He’s a good friend of mine. It’s always good to keep your friends around. But I haven’t spoken to him for a few days and we never talk about contracts”

  5. The manager topic was very hot here for a few weeks but now that the dust has settled and we move on towards discussing squad planning and transfer rumours…

I must say I’m a little disappointed in the lack of support for Tel. I can’t say I have really seen anyone advocate for him having his breakthrough season or being important in our plans next season.

Personally I think he should have played more last season and had moments where he really really impressed me. In terms of his career trajectory if it’s anything like Musiala he should be having a more important role next season before then moving on to taking a starting role.

Where does everyone see him? Especially with the wishes for Wirtz, Simons, Williams… and whoever else. We can’t have our cake and eat it too, so to speak.

I don’t think him being our ‘second striker’ is going to cut it for long. Especially considering Kane will play every game and will be here for hopefully a few more years.

I also don’t know if Tel cuts it as a winger for me.

Which kind of leads me to advocate for either trying a 2 striker system or integrating Tel into that pseudo number 10 role, where he can play off of the striker. Sort of like Müller, but less creative responsibility. Perhaps Kane drops deep when needed to occupy this space as he often does anyway.

  6. Using the 14 + 4 + 4 squad building method I‘d envision something like this based on the rumors:

14 Top players (excluding GK): Davies( or his replacement if he doesn’t end up extending); de Ligt; Kim; Tah; Kimmich (if he stays as RB); Mazraoui; Pavlovic; Onana/Wharton; Musiala; Sane; Simons; Kane; Müller; Zikrzee/Guirassy

4-5 hard workers: Laimer, Guerreiro; Stanisic; Dier; Boey

4-5 talents: Tel(can argue about his positioning in this list); Gruda( same as Tel, depends how you define Talents);Javi Fernandez; Zvonarek; Aznou, Buchmann(?); Ibrahimovic (?) Wanner(?)

Obviously some of the talents could still leave on loan do I just put all of them here right now.

Basically this would amount to selling Goretzka Upa Coman and Gnabry and signing Simons a new DM and a second striker and Gruda (I’d look to sign additional depth in midfield but that depends on how well we can sell and how much money the supervisory board is willing to shell out)

P.S.: still not a fan of a Tah transfer but after researching other options I understand why the deal is too good to pass up on for Eberl& co.

  7. Who do you think was our best player in 22-23 season?

    My pick is Gnabry

  8. >Bayern are ‘pushing a lot’ for Jonathan Tah on player side. There’s interest from the Premier League, but Bayern remain the favourites in case Tah decided to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer [@FabrizioRomano via @caughtoffside]
