Well we’ve no military to speak of so we might as well send the fishermen, we’re a fucking laughing stock, you’d think that a people who were so totally dominated for centuries would have more of a backbone and stop hiding behind this neutrality bullshit, but the truth is were just too cheap to spend on military spending, and it’s not like we don’t have a lot that needs protecting, transatlantic flights, transatlantic communication cables, critical internet infrastructure, sovereignty of our own territory including air and water.. the list goes on, but nah it’s the same old attitude sur it’ll be grand… sorry to say this but it’s easy to see how the brits took over the island so easily, it’s because we’re weak.

“Sorry about that now, would you like to come in for a cup of tea”….
“whats that invade, sure, sure”
“Wait ’til I get ya, ya little pup ya!”
Of course, they all have lovely boats
And then russians get yet another submarine stuck.
Is the Russian navy really that big, or are they just very, very close?
I’d be careful: the Russian Navy doesn’t have the best experience dealing with neutral fishermen.
Well, Putin, like I said the last time, it won’t happen again.
Where were the protests when the JFK was in Dublin bay? Its nuclear powered and probably had nukes on board, in Dublin Bay FFS.
I personally welcome our new Soviet overlords.
Lads, for real though. Is this not a bit unsettling that they’re doing this while all the tension with the Ukraine is happening? I’ve been massively confused by how okay everyone seems to be with a country just openly testing missiles by our country.
Think TITANIC and giggle.
The representatives of the Irish Fishermen are on Liveline at the moment talking about their meeting with the Russian ambassador today. Apparently the Russians are great guys altogether. The military exercise isn’t as significant as the nasty western media and governments make out. The Russians do it 15 times a year all around the world and this year they are just added an Irish date to the tour, lucky us.
Oh and the Ukrainians have nothing to worry about at all at all.
Is there a map of where the russian (or any) navy is located currently?
Just tell father jack that the russians have vodka and wait for the smoke to clear.
