  3. I had never heard the term *heat dome* until it hit 108 F in my home of Seattle.  We’ve always had heat waves, but there have been a lot of historic ones lately.  Last summer we had heat domes covering entire continents. 

    There have been a lot more fires in the last several years vs when I was a kid.
