A reminder also to report anything like this you see. I reported a failed attempt I saw a couple of months ago (not this guy) from a SurRon mugger, probably it won't do anything and is a little hassle to go through online, but it does help the police build up of a picture where it's happening and possibly link them if they are caught.

I just saw the footage of his arrest. He should have run into Bank tube station because he could have disappeared forever down there.

And as you say, reporting the crime isn’t a *total* waste – building up information about when and where these crimes happen does help in the long run, even if the police can’t identify the criminal at that point.
And people moan about the police focusing on these bikes
