This is a portrait of my ancestors Marthina og Fernanda Debes from 1834 by Mathias Stoltenberg. I even know that it is owned by the Berg-Kragerø Museum, according to Wikipedia.
My question is where exactly is this painting? I see that the Berg-Kragerø Museum owns several properties and museums. I hope to visit Norway next year and I would love to see this in person, but not sure where to go exactly. It's hard trying to find info when all the websites are in a language I don't speak. I even used the English versions of the pages on the main museum website but wasn’t able to find the location. An email to the museum almost two weeks ago hasn’t yielded any results.

I suspect if it’s on display, it’ll be at the main museum. I’d start there and see if you can ask questions there, and make your case further by calling the museum if this is unsuccessful.
