I seriously have no answer to this question except that we, like many elite European football clubs, need the large sum of money generated from playing in the CL and trying to reach as far as possible in the knockout phase for the same reason. We shall be among Europe big guns. At the end, we have a team with stars and a proper income is a must. Is there any reason?

We aren’t going to challenge for the CL for perhaps a few years to come and this is normal, but even if we have the competitive force to do, what is the point of reaching CL final other than the monetary prize? I’m not hinting to the fact that we’re the club with the record losses of the CL finals, the point is that I actually can’t understand how a team like RM, that won CL 1998 with an offside goal and eliminated us in 2018 in quarterfinals with a laughable penalty at the very end of the match, still ruling over Europe year after year with neither us nor the other teams that witnessed the refereeing fiascoes in the last 10 years including Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Broussia Dortmund and PSG complain or take any legal step!

There are many videos with many evidences including offside goals and unjustified red cards even in the VAR era. How long is this going to last?

Why is Europe silent?

  1. We’ve been close, Dortmund was close – it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Just need a little luck to win it. Also, we make a lot of money from it.

  2. You said it, money

On the topic of referees mistakes you’re talking like the average Inter or Napoli fan talks about us

  3. You know, something I find funny is that, for all our notoriety of being “a ref’s club” inside Italy at least, I don’t recall a single instance of an (important) CL game, where the ref was blatantly in our favor. Every year we have a few games where people would be mad about some important call, but not for us.

  4. Man what happened to the Juve mindset. Fino alla fine guys

  5. What? File a complaint for what? Don’t have this mentality.

You extensively answered your question in the first paragraph. If you want Juventus to get back to the level we were before we simply need to participate in the Champions League and, at some point, consistently reach the later stages of the tournament again.

  6. The point of being in the Champions League is to win it. And if you can’t win it then it’s to go as far as possible to earn more money. But besides from the money doing well in the tournament brings the club positive attention and if other players are looking for a change and like our style of play they may want to join us.

  7. You should call your local police, see if they can look into it.
