Hi guys. So I tried to purchase my Deutschland Ticket to use this month. However, when I was trying to buy it an error occurred saying to contact my bank provider about it.
Is it possible that I can not use a non-German bank account to purchase the monthly ticket? Did this occur to any of you?
Is it possible to buy the ticket at a train station or directly at an office?
Thank you in advance!

1. Not with DB. But some providers accept credit cards. 2. No. 3. No.
Also it is not a “ticket” but a subscription.
In theory, you should be able to use any IBAN; in practice, this doesn’t always work for non-German bank accounts.
You can go to a DB travel centre, pay €49 in cash and get a D-Ticket, but as it’s a subscription that auto-renews you still have to give your bank details and use that to pay for subsequent months. If your IBAN isn’t acceptable, it still won’t work for you.
You can try a different reseller, such as [mo.pla](https://www.mopla.solutions/de/tickets/deutschlandticket), which accepts a wider range of payment options and also a more flexible cancellation policy.

Try a different provider.
I had this exact problem recently. I have had no problems using a non-DE IBAN. This problem is with Verimi. They supposedly “save” your identity verification data to simplify the process in the future but it ends up consistently failing every subsequent time.
My fix: do not use the same email address as before to do the Verimi verification. Do the verification from scratch.
