  1. In that article they mention that when he met the oil execs he came away with 25 million dollars. That’s paltry compared to what they could really do. The proverbial drop in a buck if you will. They are trying to buy him on the cheap. I believe this Allan Lichtman guy has a pretty good record and if correct again, Trump is going to lose:

The billionaires are throwing their money away on his lawyers but it’s not going to help his candidacy

  2. I’m starting to think these billionaires don’t have have our best interests in mind.

  3. It didn’t exactly require much in the way of pursuit.

  4. I don’t think the billionaires have captured so much are buying him on the cheap. But Trump has captured them buy promising to destroy the middle class and turn the US into an oligarchy.

I don’t think it will work. At least I hope it won’t work.

  5. The billionaires think they have captured Trump. Trump is accountable to no one. He consumes all that he touches.

  6. The Billionaires have captured SCOTUS, and the Republicans in Congress, and they have a partial hold on Trump that is still, and always will be superseded by Putin’s.

  7. Billionaires have been buying more and more media over the past few years. Billionaires own the firms conducting most of the polls these days. Billionaires own Trump and stand to become even wealthier if he wins and gives them more tax cuts. These guys want to install the guy who makes them wealthier into the White House, democracy and general American well-being be damned.

Easy to explain recent media behavior and polling oddities when looking at it through this lens.

  8. It’s not hard to capture a drugged up tub of lard who isn’t trying to get away

  9. Trump is the definition of the useful idiot. Billionaires know it. Putin knows it.

  10. If I was a billionaire the last thing I’d want is unrest and controversial candidates. I’d want everything nice and quiet so I could enjoy life on my private island. But most of these billionaires are actually psychopaths, that’s part of the reason they amassed so much wealth. And as true psychopaths they never have enough, they need more.

  11. The right will scream about George Soros until they are blue in the face, meanwhile Miriam Adelson is donating 100 million dollars to Trump as long as he supports annexing the West Bank.

Listen up MAGA, these people don’t give a fuck about you. All they care about is increasing their own power, you won’t even get the scraps. But I guess it’s all ok as long as you still get to shit on trans people right?

  12. I think they’ve “captured “ everything. Btw fuck donald

  13. I really hope come November that the repudiation we give MAGA at the ballot boxes leaves no room for interpretation; America does not want MAGA here, we don’t want MAGA in charge, and we sure as fuck don’t want a MAGA justice system. Trump appointments need to be removed, and The Supreme Court needs oversight.

  14. How do you “capture” someone who throws themselves at you?

  15. First off, the article claims he isn’t tainted by Russia. Yeah, that doesn’t track because while there is no smoking gun, and the evidence is all circumstantial, the sheer VOLUME of the circumstantial evidence is just incredible. Trump is like Rome except all roads lead to Russia, over and over and over.

I don’t want to recreate the entire timeline here but virtually from the moment he descended that escalator, he’s been taking actions that have no beneficiary but Russia.

His solitary “ask” for the RNC national convention, before he had even won the candidacy, the only plank he put on their platform was a request to lift Russian sanctions. That’s it. His only contribution.

Then, it felt like every. single. member. of his campaign was one step removed from the Kremlin. It was like 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon but you only need like 2 moves at most.

Then his interest in derailing Ukraine support, even if part of it was withholding supplies unless they ginned up evidence Biden had done something corrupt. I’m convinced he was still working to Putin’s benefit but decided to kill two birds with one stone and get something for himself out of the deal.

The times he broke protocol to speak to Putin in private without allowing even our own people to listen in. The constant signs of back-channel communications, etc. The gifting of a US base to Russia. The complete nothing response to news that Russia was paying bounties for US soldiers. The times he denied his own US intelligence in favor of Putin’s

The time congress was shockingly bipartisan and unanimous in passing additional sanctions on Russia. Trump simply *refused* to enact them. Congress passed law. The executive branch refused to execute the law.

I could just go on and on and on wall-of-text style about how in-the-bag Trump is for Russia.

This writer has NOT been following the fact-based-reporting that sketches the rough outline of just how compromised this greedy little flim-flam man is. We know he has no loyalty to the US, he serves only one master: his own selfish wants.

  16. Baloney. They can think they captured him. He’s always going to act for himself anyway. They’re just another bunch of saps.
