Hello, I'm a resident in Brasil moving to Norway for my masters, and though I do have an european citizenship I cannot have a european health insurance card as I havent contributed to social security in the country.
For that reason, I am looking for an affordable option for the first year of my studies as mentioned in this page: Students who are EU/EEA nationals – UDI

Assuming that you are going to stay in Norway for more than a year you will be a member of the Norwegian social insurance system which will cover your medical expenses.

You would only need private insurance or a European card if your stay is for less than a year. But that wouldn’t apply for a master’s course.
