I have an embarrassing question to make to you guys. I’ll give some context:
I’m living in Germany since 2016. A random invitation from a german professor that was friend of my phd advisor from the shithole I was born is the reason I’m here. It was never “my choice” in the first place, it was a lucky strike (the position was offered initially to a colleague that refused it for family reasons).
Since then I’m quite happy with my life here. When I do tourism in other countries (France, UK, Italy, Czech Republic, etc.) I often think to myself “Gosh, Germany is so much nicer than this place! I’m glad I live in Germany and not here”. Then I start to think “Hmmm maybe the swiss/norwegians feel this way towards Germany too…”.
I mean, the question is, do you guys have these thoughts of “my country is better than yours” as well?
Go back to work Hans. We need your money before you become a poor country.
