I was in Tokyo recently and came across this amazing violinist who later said he was playing Scottish music. I can’t speak Japanese and alas couldn’t quite find the origin of this beautiful piece. If anybody could please lend their ear and help me find this, I’d be forever grateful

  1. Are you sure it wasn’t one of those scams where they just pretend to be playing the violin and it’s really just a recording from the speaker. He doesn’t seem to be holding the violin correctly and is just sawing back and forth rapidly.

  4. I think it could be Day One by Rura, from the Home album. One of my faves.

  5. He/She is not playing any specific song just a tune in a Scottish fiddling style. What is more interesting is they are not using a chin rest.
