  1. Summary:

Donald Trump is in breach of a British High Court order to pay £300,000 in legal costs to Christopher Steele, the former MI6 agent who compiled the Steele dossier alleging Russian interference in the 2016 US election.

Trump lost his lawsuit against Steele’s company Orbis Business Intelligence, which claimed the dossier contained inaccuracies and violated his rights. The High Court dismissed Trump’s case, ruling it was filed beyond the six-year limitation period.

Trump was denied leave to appeal and ordered to pay Steele’s legal fees, but has failed to comply with the costs order and ignored a formal offer to settle. Steele says Trump is treating the UK legal system with contempt, and that he has no means to recoup the costs from Trump’s UK assets.

The revelation comes after Trump became the first US president convicted of a felony and faces other ongoing legal proceedings.

  2. Donald J Trump refusing to pay a bill? Shock 😮 horror 😱

  3. Looks like he will lose a golf course soon. High Courts do not piss about.

While it won’t go the court, they can strip assets from one to the value required, effectively making it un-runable, at least in the short term
