This post is nothing important, only out of curiosity, just to satisfy my personal interest. I would like to find out what city or cities these several pictures were taken in?
Bulat Okudzhava (1924-1997) was the legendary poet, songwriter, and public figure in the Soviet Union, especially popular in 1960s and early 1970s. He was the Russian language equivalent of Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen. His fame had reached such heights that he was one of the few celebrities allowed to travel outside the Iron Curtain.
In June-July 1967, Bulat Okudzhava went on a concert tour of Czechoslovakia and Poland. He performed in Warsaw, Wrocław, Krakow, Bratislava, Prague, and possibly Brno and Olomouc.
In November-December 1967, Bulat Okudzhava visited several French and West German cities. He performed in Paris on November 29-30, 1967, and recorded 21 songs in the studio Resonances on December 1-2, 1967.
These pictures were taken in 1967. What city or cities were they taken? Do you know what palace is in the background in the first picture? Do you know what street or landmark or near what landmark is in the second picture? Do you know what painting is in the third picture?
My initial guess is that all these three pictures were taken in Prague, with (1) Waldstein Palace in Mala Strana, (2) somewhere in the Old Town near the Astronomical Clock, and (3) the art museum in Schwarzenberg Palace, in the first, the second, and the third pictures, respectively. But I am not sure. I could be wrong.
