So the Friday half price fares are not coming back are they 😭
Doesn’t surprise me, anecdotally this is exactly what I experienced. I go into the office on Fridays generally, and absolutely nobody I work with changed their office days to start coming in on Friday. My train in wasn’t any busier. Going for food at lunch time wasn’t perceptibly busier. When I met friends after work it wasn’t perceptibly busier. When I went to do shopping it wasn’t perceptibly busier.
I just don’t think the cost of travel is the barrier to people going in on Friday. Ironically, if it had worked I probably would have stopped going in on Fridays, because the quietness is why I pick Friday to go in.
