you know the as ever with these sort of things in Gaza where journalists are not able to get access there is always a a cloud of obscurity over what’s going on but what Hamas is claiming is that uh they captured a small Israeli Patrol I think in the jabalia camp and dragg them into a tunnel uh after a fight uh and are now detaining them according to the Israeli Defense Forces however that’s simply not true they completely deny the claim made by by Hamas uh so at this stage that is all we know uh meanwhile Rob tensions rising in Israel soldiers have recently recovered the bodies of three Israeli hostages hundreds of MERS gathering for a funeral service in ashalon and Rob scuffles broke out at the weekly rallies in Tel Aviv where protesters have been demanding the government do more to secure the release of hostages being held by himas uh tell us more about that yeah I mean the there were demonstrations last night all over Israel the biggest as you point out in Tel Aviv where the organizers are claiming that as many as 880,000 people took part and this I think follows the a number of things that have happened over the last few days first of all the you know the international criminal court uh Court the international court of justice rather uh telling Israel to stop its military operation in Rafa uh then you know also the the release of uh video material of five military observers field observers women who were taken captive by uh Hamas on the 7th of October that was the first time that had been seen in Israel and it shocked Society so in large part I think the response at the weekend last night in in Tel Aviv is to that but also to uh remarks put out by the IDF by the Israeli Defense Forces leadership command last week that at least on four occasions last year in other words before the 7th of October they warned Benyamin Netanyahu that Hamas was watching carefully the rift in Israeli society as a consequence of the judicial overhaul that he was proposing and that it would act in some way so people are accusing Benyamin Netanyahu of ignoring the signs so I think that is perhaps why we’re seeing this current surge of anger uh from from the the demonstrators and the renewal of Demands for Israel to start negotiating in Earnest for the release of the hostages
The armed wing of Hamas said it had taken “prisoner” at least one Israeli soldier in an ambush on Saturday in the Gaza Strip, a claim Israel denied. Meanwhile Israeli police clashed Saturday with protesters calling on the government to negotiate the return of hostages held in Gaza. FRANCE 24’s Rob Parsons reports.

why did hamas blur out video of the supposed captured soldiers, but they the footage of any injured women or kid is crystal clear?
