1. Macron impresses me for his forceful defense of Ukraine and Europe. He has no illusions about the threat Putin represents.

   Kudos as well to The Netherlands for its F16s, as they are absolutely necessary. France’s Mirages will be a welcome addition.

   But France alone is mentioning the unmentionable: putting European boots on the ground in Ukraine.

   Yet Germany continues to wring its hands over what it should do. Olaf Schulz needs to step up to the plate as the dangers are real for Germany as well.

   Europe is rightly petrified of a Trump win in November, as he will attempt to do a deal with Putin for his own benefit, including cutting ties with NATO. While I don’t believe Trump will win, the electoral rat-fuckery the Republicans will attempt on Trump’s behalf could destroy the US government. Then the world’s bad guys will make their move and World War III will result.

   For the avoidance of any doubt, I have just said that Donald Trump will cause World War III should he get in the White House.

   So unite and stand firm Europe. Defeat the fascists currently organizing for the European elections and protect your way of life. Oppose all authoritarian sympathizers as they are the allies of Putin. Your freedom from tyranny depends on it, just as it did in 1940.

   And be aware that this time, there might not be an America on hand to tip the balance for freedom.
