  1. > according to a new study by Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Ben Gurion University in Be’er Sheva

listen, if i need a good self fellatio i’ll listen to the tucker/shapiro interview.

  2. It’s being stolen. So how much do we have to send in order to compensate for the theft.

  3. Just look at the leaders of Hamas. They’re all well fed and obese fucks.

That should be a clue where all the food is going

  4. Enough food on paper ≠ People not starving

Just because food might reach the place, that doesn’t mean everyone gets to have it.

  5. “The study, led by Prof. Aron Troen of Hebrew University’s Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, and Prof. Dorit Nitzan of the School of Public Health at Ben Gurion University”

    Enough said

  6. Something important to keep in mind is that this study (currently a draft and not peer reviewed) only analyzes the first pillar of food security of which there are 4. It does not look at food accessibility, utilization, or stability. Which are CRITICALLY important.

The full study actually has this disclosure in the report.

  7. Sadly no one will believe the study because it comes from Israel. Not sure Qatar is going to commission a study

  8. The problem is the distribution, enough aid is going in, but it’s not being distributed to everyone. That’s why donating more money or doing stupid aid flotillas or another country sending aid is not relevant. The issue is how to make sure the aid reaches the people and that’s a problem because the only law there is Hamas, and they don’t care about the people. So the aid is all being resold at wild prices at a time when people obviously don’t have any money ( not like there are any jobs at the moment). So it’s a mess.

  9. It seems that an excess supply is still necessary, given the real concern of stealing.

Also, as most food is perishable, it becomes increasingly difficult to hoard larger amounts without it becoming obvious to the people around you.

  10. The aid is sufficient, but hamas seizies it the moment it gets there

  11. A study by Israeli universities? Damn then it must be true

  12. But is the aid reaching the people? I’ve heard there’s been problems with distribution.

  13. What a fucking joke. An inadequate study, not assessing actual outcomes conducted by institutions with huge conflicts of interest.

  14. Can we all still agree that none of us would want to be in Gaza right now?

We can have a discussion about the technicalities of how awful it is the same way that we can have a discussion about what actions are and are not necessary for the safety of Israeli civilians.

But we should in no way be having a discussion about if we should or should not feel empathy for the suffering civilians in gaza.

  15. Study debunks claims of hunger on earth, citing the fact earth clearly grows enough food to feed itself

  16. Ynet is not a good source. it’s lite taking RT at there word

  17. The Aid might be sufficient but it’s difficult to get it to people who need it when Hamas is stealing it.

  18. First war where people expect you to feed your enemies.

    Wild.

  19. Misleading headline, it doesn’t debunk anything and this sort of study only contributes to the death toll, as many have already said here there’s a major problem with accessing the food. I find it infuriating to see stuff like this constantly trying to act like Palestinians are secretly fine when they obviously factually can’t be, their homes are gone, their livelihoods are gone, most have lost at least one family member or friend, they’re at constant risk of being blown up, have no access to food clean water or anything with any certainty.

Then some asshole comes in like erm actually there’s plenty of food in the world to feed you just go to your local McDonald’s or something because they don’t know what war is and think that Palestinians are all liars. It’s disgusting.

  20. Sure the number of aid getting in might seem “sufficient” but that does not take into account WHERE that aid ends up after it gets in.

  21. Call BS. Thousands don’t starve if there’s enough.
