Guess who’s back? How Eminem is storming to the top of the charts again. His new song Houdini is set to be the fastest-selling single of the year, eclipsing even Taylor Swift – despite being ignored by rap fans and radio stations alike

  1. Did anyone ever REALLY shun eminem? ik that was his slim shady shtick but i remember him on every pop/hip hop station, and at every award show as at least a nominee

  2. Houdini is fire!!! Such a great single, shady’s back back again!

  3. Well yeah. He’s bringing back slim shady. The shit talking, offensive drug rapper personality from the 90’s that got him to stardom. Post relapse album he made his work more serious, but I’m so hype to see the fun raunchy stuff again.

For the people in the back – the point of Houdini is him showing how wild and crazy he was, and how inappropriate all the shit he used to rap about was. It’s making fun of slim shady by being grossly over the top in the lyrics and insults

“Yall don’t hear me, you just wanna dance”

  4. I gotta be honest I fucking hated the song abracadabra when I listened to it and thought it’s the corniest song I’ve ever heard. I actually started laughing when I heard Houdini the first time. The lyrics are fine but sampling Abracadabra and putting a beat to it is laughable. To each their own, but it makes me cringe even thinking about it.

  5. I’m a Eminem fan but the song sucks. They aren’t any quotable or witty lines, the hook and production is lazy.. I hope there’s better songs on the upcoming album.

  6. I listen to all genres of music and rap typically is one of the lesser ones I listen to. Houdini is my favorite song released of the year so far and I’ll be surprised if anything surpasses it. There is nothing about the song I don’t like. I can’t speak for others but the song brings back emotions I got from hearing his first releases two decades ago while also sounding new and relevant. Can’t wait for the album.

  7. I love how he looks like he just wants to sell me a gaming PC. I’m so genuinely happy he’s back to making funny ass shit.

  8. I’ve heard about this song multiple times every day since it came out. Ignored by radio stations, maybe, but even then, it’s up to him to pay for plays and I’m assuming he’s at the point where radio stations will play his shit without getting paid for.

  9. That’s funny, rap fans don’t Eminem and country fans don’t like Taylor swift. Were they ever rappers and country singers?

  10. Good! I lost interest when he got so serious and intense. Love old funny Slim

  11. What does being ignored by the radio even mean at this stage? The radio mostly ignored BTS, especially their Korean releases and they managed to rise in the ranks based on fan hype alone. The radio isn’t where I go to find new music, isn’t that true for most people?

  12. Genuine question, what does “fastest selling” mean in this time where apps like Spotify and Apple Music are a primary source for listening to music and not paying for specific songs?

  13. Eminem is at his best when he’s being funny. One of my favourite lyricists when he’s chatting bollocks.

  14. I will purchase (and always enjoy) anything Eminem puts out. You can tell he cares about his craft and doesn’t use autotune which is a huge plus for me. I’ll never stop being a fan even if he started doing country music lol

  15. Good for Em, but tbh the song felt a little lazy and phoned in. Made it about half way in and just got bored.

  16. I love how many people are offended by his new single, Eminem is truly the goat
