UK Labour says Boris Johnson ‘incapable of leading’ in Ukraine crisis

  1. “Opposition party’s John Healey strikes hawkish tone on Russia as Labour seeks to move on from Jeremy Corbyn years.”

Glad to see Labour taking foreign policy seriously again after clown Corbyn defend Russia and attacked Ukraine and NATO.

A step in the right direction, I’m becoming very impressed with Starmer and this voice of Labour

However the current gov especially Ben Wallace is doing a good job of weapon shipments to Ukraine

  2. I have noticed a pretty curious shift in the online “left” on this front. There used to be almost unanimous opposition to aggressive involvement in foreign affairs in the wake of the disasters in the middle east – Including on the Ukraine/Russia dispute. I think the waves of propaganda throughout those conflicts became pretty obvious to see, with hilariously simplistic presentations of one sided conflicts.

Now however, on this subreddit, the Guardian comment section and other supposedly left wing/liberal circles there’s a a huge desire to invest everything we can in to stopping Putin. It’s bizarre.

  3. Ok, so what would Labour do? We knew that during Corbyn days there was a fear he might not have the balls to retaliate in nuclear war, and considering this is Russia

What’s Keir Starmer nuclear policy? I want to hear him say it clearly that he WOULD USE Nuclear weapons if needed, if he would, then they can talk about “Leading”

  4. Hes incapable of leading a fucking conga. He clearly can’t remember how to dress himself, so I don’t feel hopefully him going up against Putin.

  5. Johnson is incapable of exploiting a manufactured crisis that’s a front for putting arms and money in Ukrainian politicians hands so that it can be sold on or used in neocolonial conflicts and put on their back pockets? Who are we kidding. This is the man who has his finger in every avenue of corruption we have going.

  6. Putin and Lavrov spend their time playing 4-dimensional chess. They have more expertise than the entire cabinet combined. These are serious, very serious focused professionals with many many *decades* of top-level experience, backed by formidable sophisticated teams.

We have Boris, Raab and Priti….. who’d struggle to arrange the proverbial piss up in a brewery *quite literally*.

Putin must be pissing himself laughing.

  7. All he needs to do is back Ukraine and give no support to Russia. It’s not hard but watch him fuck it up somehow. He’ll make some joke that comes across as supporting Russia, or at least not opposing them, get ripped to shreds for not taking this seriously and hide in a fridge for a week to let it all blow over. Johnson is all about being the fun PM and having a good time, he cannot do serious and seems incapable of being statesmanlike when the situation calls for it.

  8. The UK is taking action (supplying defensive munitions) while much of the EU sits on its hands and we haven’t heard a peep from Labour on it until now, who seem far too obsessed by their political subterfuge games with Wakeford to take their heads out of their arses, look at the world and find a policy.

This speech is a gem too. It’s effectively Labour saying *Oh Shit, something’s happening. Erm, the Tories are incapable of leading! Our policy is to support the government because … shit, we just said they’re incapable of leading but we’re following them. Er, look, we’re only following them because we were too busy masturbating each other over our clever plotting and political intrigue games to notice there was anything happening in the world. Shit, that doesn’t sound good either does it. Mumble mumlbe, western unity, we’ll have what Boris is having but we’d be totally different … while doing exactly what they’re doing … shit, can we get another of our stooges to say something in the paper to dsitract from all this again please?*

  9. So far the UK has responded better than the EU or US, not that it reflects on Boris necessarily but so far so good.
