  3. That Catherine look was divisive at the time but I’ve decided I really like it, even though it’s kind of fussy. Also really like that velvet on Charlene, she looks very glam.

  7. Queen Maxima’s “coronation” cape gown is my favorite here, the tiara is in my top 5 favorite tiaras. Princess Catherine’s dress is also so beautiful and it will be remembered in the future as one of her biggest fashion moments, just iconic.

Fun fact, calling all of these colours generically “blue” at first description is a very English language thing to do, in some cultures it is more common to distinguish different types of blue as different colours, rather than calling them all blue at first and differentiating only if context demands it.

    Adjacent-ly, there’s an entire academic discussion about how “blue” is even perceived or considered in Mediterranean cultures and wtf Homer was on about with that “wine-dark sea” business.

    (That might only be fun to me, though.)
