  2. Joe Biden is a political genius. He’s been getting Trump to do whatever he wants ever since he took center stage. Trump is literally helpless against him. Decades of political experience, about a million more petabytes of mental computing power than Trump, and an actual concern for his fellow humans are the difference.

I’ve watched agog as he offers a series of difficult choices to US enemies abroad, and a series of palatable compromises to everyone at home, all while doing what needs to be done with that strategy, keeping his mouth shut about it.

    The guy is astonishingly effective, and above all, not noisy.

  16. I look forward to Dana Bash and Jake Tapper asking critical questions of them both with follow up’s that demand the answer. Trump has benefitted greatly in the past by never addressing the questions asked. Having FOX doing a debate or having Kristen Welker asking questions was as if Trump’s campaign team was drafting the questions.

    And yet like so many other Ardent Progressive takes, this fails completely to understand that just as many people are turned OFF by “provocative, transgressive language”, and those people are much more efficiently distributed geographically as far as congressional districts and the Electoral College go.

  32. I would be genuinely surprised if Trump did not debate Biden before the election however I also would not be surprised even more. Trump won’t confront his opponent because he believes he already owns them when the reality is that his opponent could easily destroy him and come across as a competent progressive and noble choice for swing voters.

    yes, he’s absolutely thin-skinned. But when somebody exposes that (as has been done frequently and obviously many times over the last 8 years), it somehow turns into a conspiracy theory or proof that he’s actually the thickest skinned. It’s wildly infuriating.
