It’s frustrating because I have a lot of savings, I have a good job and so does my wife. I could pay even more than I want to towards the loan if the bank wants, I could also ask for a bit less. I hate that the only way to do this is online.
You can also try to ask for smaller loan and then when the conversations start adjust it. I also found it weird we’re supposed to specify everything when applying when it should be a conversation because there are many variables, total loan, downpayment, loan duration…
If it’s an automated process, there might be an error in the application or a stipulation that causes it to auto-deny. What those errors and stipulations might be, however, we don’t know. Review their terms again instead of just scrolling through and hitting accept.
Or, you know, go to an actual bank. They do give out loans in-person still.
That’s S-Pankki right? I went though the same process, got the automated rejection, contacted them directly and asked for them to review it – and they gave me an actual offer. That happened with some other bank too with an automated process (those seem to be very harsh?), so just contact them by other means.
That’s why I closed my account with s pankki
Had similar experience with s pankki. Try OP and Nordea. In OP, I got an in person appointment too though it was 2 years back.
