The Prince and Princess of Wales have led tributes to inspirational former rugby star and motor neurone disease sufferer Rob Burrow who has died aged 41.
Leeds Rhinos, where Rob Burrow spent his entire career and won eight Super League titles, announced that he passed away at Pinderfield’s Hospital near his home.
He was surrounded by his loving family after falling ill earlier this week.
Prince William, who presented CBEs to Rob Burrow and his teammate Kevin Sinfield earlier this year posted on X calling Burrow a ‘legend of Rugby League’ with a ‘huge heart.’

It may sound odd but when I had my own loss , the words Her Majesty spoke at the memorial for the 9/11 victims., Grief is the price we pay for love’ actually did console me.
