Good game from them both, Pedri needs to finally consistently deliver more often and put his injuries behind him so that we can put these wirtz discussions to bed. I really don’t want us to waste 100 mil on a CAM just to re-elect laporta when we we don’t need one.
100 mil price tags should be reserved for what we really need which is either:
1) a box to box goal scoring and ball winning No. 8; or
2)an attacker that can guarantee us at least 25 -30 goals per season.
Even when we get to 1:1 we need to move as though we are still at 1:4 in order to prevent us going back into this financial problem. At the end of the day we are a fan owned club, we can’t operate like we are run by billionaires or state owned clubs with unlimited resources.
Also loved that de la fuente tried Lamine a bit closer to goal with navas doing most of the work trying to stretch the play. It didn’t work as I fully expected but there were a couple promising movements from Yamal there. However, regardless that’s the role we need to push him into in order to develop him as a greater goal scoring threat so he can become that Messi/ronaldo type player.
