Lets say there was a NATO alliance from the Eastern Block, and they "surrounded" France, Germany, or the US. The Eastern Bloc NATO was a peaceful one too, like the Western. He is only peeved because he wanted an easy ride into Ukraine, his personal vanity project, and instead has caused the slaughter of upwards of 500,000 young Russians to be sacrificed for his hubris. He also doesn't want the Russian people to realise he has lied through his teeth to them by having the war taken back to them and showing what he has been dishing out for the last 2 years.
