Just kidding! This is how I could have voted if an e-voting system existed in Luxembourg. It’s 2024, and we’re still waiting for a modern voting solution. Until then, we’re stuck going to the polling station in person or voting by post. Let’s hope for a more convenient future!

Hard no. Apart from the obvious security and anonymity issues, e-voting will erode the trust in the voting process. Voting should be overseen by the public as it is today, and not pander to politicians desperate for an early result, or people who can’t be arsed to go to their local polling station.
Hard no against electronic voting and/or voting machines seeing how their use is then used to question the legitimacy of the election.
Or even more convenient: let’s just move on to an authocracy so we won’t even need to vote anymore, how cool would that be!
From a democratic theory perspective: If countries with compulsory voting have higher rates of voting invalid (probably as a form of protest), shouldn’t online voting give you the option to do so as well?
Nice. It’s just missing two options:
○ None of the above
○ Launch MS Paint to draw a dick pic
No panachage option for your fake screenshot?
