A young black man washed up in the Bristol Channel on 14th February 1988.

The reason I mention it here is that he was wearing a Boys Own jacket which would have been made by the Boys Own party crew and only available locally and not mass-produced.

He wore Dunlop Green Flash Trainers, Wrangler Jeans and had short black hair. There was a big anti-apartheid night in Bristol (Wild Bunch/Massive Attack) on 30th January 1988 in the Temple Meads area of the city. He was wearing and anti-apartheid t-shirt. If he attended and entered the water around there the body would likely wash up where it did.

Does anyone know if in the 80s the Welsh police force would have checked for missing persons from other areas? It does not seem that there was an accessible national database at the time. Missing people and unidentified bodies are rare so if you know of anyone who went missing around then of the same description please do mention it.
