5. I watched a programme last night called WW2 in colour. Even prior to ww2 there are such parallels with authoritarians who want to seize neighbouring States. Once they start they just can’t stop. Mussolini, Franco, Hitler, Stalin. Once on a war footing, enough is never enough. League of Nations members stood idly by wringing their hands but not wanting to get too involved. Hoping that problems would just fade away or work themselves out.
   This war is another example of too little too late. Arms manufacturing and supply will dictate the outcome.
