Stumbled upon this a few days ago after falling down the YouTube rabbit hole,- watching 1990s related British and Irish pop culture themed videos from the era..
It seemed fairly rare to almost unheard of for people outside of southeast England to win anything on these national phone-in competitions.
“Janet Boal” from Northern Ireland seems to have defied the norm and won a fairly generous prize in the above instance.
The prize seemed fairly decent. A Walk on Baywatch part, lunch with the cast, a tour of the Warner Bros lot + shopping + behind the scenes access to sets of tv and films in production at the time..
Nice to find a random (vintage example) of an entrant from NI winning one of these..
Bet there was some jealousy amongst their peers though!
