1. The article annoying doesn’t actually link to the Animal rising report but you can find it [HERE](https://www.animalrising.org/_files/ugd/80f7b1_312aaf59f84e462fa13ae8d355c2cf02.pdf). Not a particularly fun read for a Sunday but very informative.

   The Scottish farms were all fish farms and these were some of the finding mentioned in the “Summary of Investigation” page

   **Selected finding of cruelty and suffering**

   * at an **RSPCA Assured farm in Scotland**,
   investigators found salmon infested with lice, with
   missing eyes and other body parts, open wounds.

   * at an **RSPCA Assured farm in Scotland**, fish were
   transported for 54 hours (RSPCA standards are 8 hours)

   * at an **RSPCA Assured farm in Scotland**, trout kept
   out of water for more than the allowed time during hot
   water de-licing (many were seen to die).

3. Haven’t eaten salmon for a few years now since I started reading about this.

   Are our government turning a blind eye because it’s an important industry?
