  1. I mean… what IS the DeAl with all these Snow flakes.

  2. Awareness and sensitivity is good in comedy. You need to know where the line is so you can just step right over it where it’s funny but not overly offensive.

What’s “killing” comedy is when people are set on pushing that line so unbearably close to where you can’t say ANYTHING without offending anyone. It’s a lose-lose situation because they simply want to play the victim or virtue signal regardless of how offensive the material legitimately is.

  3. Yeah, it’s a red flag for a shitty comedian making excuses.

  4. 2024, the year that brought you the Kendrick vs Drake beef, now brings you… Jerry vs Elaine.

  5. I think some comedians are just too lazy to understand the situations they want to joke about. Comedy should always be punching up to those who sit in a place of privilege or power, otherwise it’s going to be misinterpreted (e.g., when Dave Chappelle did the black people in movie theaters bit and encountered actual racists after his shows who felt empowered to be like, “lol I hate n***ers too!”). Most people are fine with comedy that pushes boundaries, so long as it pushes us to consider another perspective or forward towards analyzing unobserved traditions or cultural beliefs.

  6. Yep. It’s boring and it’s killing careers. So many of my favourite comedians have turned to the ‘I’M gOnNa GeT CaNcELlED’ bollocks recently. They just sound like out of touch grandads.

  7. It’s true, because political correctness doesn’t apply to comedians. How many times has Dave Chapelle been cancelled now, and he is still rolling?
