  2. This is horrible. I just saw pictures of a kid who was victim to the terrorist attack and my heart swells for him.

    I also saw a few people justifying the attack so it just makes it even more horrible. May those Hindu pilgrims rest in peace and recover soon.

  7. For those in the west where J&K isn’t a common abbreviation, it stands for Jammu and Kashmir, a region in northern India on the border with Pakistan.

    I recently traveled to Kashmir for tourism and I will never be going back. It’s a beautiful place no doubt about it BUT it’s strange that a community that was once so rich in colour, language, music has been reduced to black and white clothing and the Kashmiri language has been neglected in preference for Urdu. Funny thing is the only people there wearing those famous Kashmiri suits are the tourists!! And even after such a strong military presence, you never really feel safe.

    Edit: anti-India sentiments are also very prevalent, I heard people saying “beta yeh Kashmir hai, Hindustan nahi”. As someone from the capital of the country that was fucking horrifying..

  15. Aggressive hardliners win. Both Modi and the terrorists are very happy about this. Personally i think India will go the same direction as Israel. With constant internal struggle, fueled by the people who got in power in order to handle the other side.

Attacks like this have been going on for so long people are immune to them now, Weird how the Arab world has never marched in the streets for their own but if its against Israel they are “Freedom fighters” who will totally chill if you give them total power over people who are now oppressed by them.   21. Kashmir has always been a flashpoint, I hope the government in Kashmir and Indian security forces can get these terrorists without being to heavy handed and hopefully it won’t trigger Pakistan. These countries have clashed over this area before…
