  5. I was about in the UK 50 years ago. I can’t think why anyone should think life was better then, unless they are thinking over lost youth.

  12. Surprised by Russians. Spain was under dictatorship 50 years ago so it makes sense. Also how is life worse in the case of Americans? Their income levels rose quite a lot.

    Edit: the poll was made in 2017. So 50 years ago was in the late 60s.

His old account was FringoloFrangolo, he’s a 20-slmetjing year old guy who his firmly convinced that life was better in the 70-80-90s, doesn’t care about other countries, only cares about his little town near Catania in Sicily that was the holy land. Don’t waste your time talking to him. He doesn’t listen, he has a psychological affliction with that period. It is sad reading his posts and comments because it is clear he needs help. Just giving this heads up so people don’t waste time.

  37. Only Communist China murdered more of its people than the Soviet Union did (even including the entire Nazi empire, though they didn’t have much time in comparison to their Soviet Allies), but some people still feel good even in Russia about all the mass murder.
    Most are just glad for comparative safety.
