80th anniversary of D-Day coming up | DW News

Preparations are underway in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. On June 6, 1944, Allied troops from the USA, Great Britain, Canada and France began liberating Western Europe from Nazi Germany. During World War II, more than 150,000 soldiers landed on the Atlantic beaches in northern France to fight against Hitler’s Germany.

  1. Sad for them that the same practices that they oppossed and that costed so many lives are being executed by that State in the middle east and now the West is allied with it.

  2. Hong Kong is just a special administrative region! Hong Kong is not a country! We don’t know what country Li Jiachao claimed to subvert? Subvert which country?
